Chrisine Traurig made her return to dressage
competition in 1997 after a four year absence from the sport. She turned in
a solid performance at the 1997 USET Festival of Champions, finishing eighth
overall in the USET Grand Prix Championship. She also rode Assini Boin to a
fifth place finish in the Grand Prix Special.
Earlier in 1997, she won the USET Grand Prix qualifier and the Grand Prix
Special at The Paddock Spring Festival of Dressage in Los Angeles.
Traurig, who was born and raised in the Hanover area of Germany, purchased
Assini Boin in Germany in 1995 when he was only second level. She
has been assisting her husband, famous jumper trainer, Bernie Traurig, in
the training of international show jumpers for the past 14 years.
