These are photos of Susan and Facet
from the show [L.A. Winter Dressage].
I love the one in the middle, because
of his kind face, and how focussed he is on his rider and his work.
He's always like that. People ask me how I can let my 14 year-old show
a stallion, especially when there are so many mares and other
stallions around, but the truth is that she's safer on him than any
other horse that I've ever let her ride. In this class, when they
reached the corner after the extension, they met a bellowing Kingston.
Facet didn't bat an eye, but kept right on about his business--he's
such a pro. Ellen Bontje trained him well. I hope I get to meet her
some day to tell her thank you in person.
