Enter proud and straight, announced
By brass fanfare right out of the corrida,
Where humble means unsure and weak,
Proceed only with whole self committed.

Canter soft as falling snow,
Expand to bold sunlight freedom gallop,
Return to flowers of early spring,
Lovely, shaded, balanced.

Ride the corner as a curve of water,
Bend one way, then to match it,
Far from perfect but lovely striving,
Breathing in the glide and flow.

Walk to relax, regroup and focus,
Change to march, with raptor's gaze,
Some strides of trot, inhale, inhale,
Erupt into all out extended triumph.

Soften again, gather once more,
A last passionate blaze of glory,
Crisp conclusion, but halt so ready,
It is your life you hold in those reins.
