Nadine Capellmann and Gracioso
won the national Grand Prix with 74.52%. Isabell Werth and Antony not
competing in the CDI, finished third 72.28%.
Alexandra Simons-de Ridder whose Chacomo won team gold at Sydney, was tied
with teammates, Ulla Salzgeber and Rusty at the end of the GPS, showed her
impressive young stallion, Calambo, who has stallion presence. CHIO
Aachen 2001 was Chacomo's last competition. Breathing problems that were
not diagnosed until late November were tumors on his lungs. He was
put down in December. Calambo is expressive, anticipated movements
making youthful mistakes, definitely was forward. He is one to watch
for the future.
Anky van Grunsven's Krack C was 11th with 67.36%.
