confirms the event date June 12th - 17th
World Equestrian Festival
to take place as scheduled
May 3, 2001. The World Equestrian Festival - CHIO AACHEN 2001 will take
place from June 12th to the 17th as planed. On Thursday, the
Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein confirmed the date for the dressage, show
jumping and four-in-hand driving event with the highest total prize-money
world-wide, i.e. 2.6 million German Marks. "The cancellation of the
precaution measures for horses in Northrhein-Westfalia, caused by the Foot
and Mouth Disease (FMD), as well as our consultations with the government
and the veterinary office have confirmed our decision to organise our
event as planned", says Frank Kemperman, manager of the
Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein, organiser of the CHIO AACHEN.
