7/24 Aachen
Impressions by Brent Hicks
From the warm-up arena to the quadrilles to the Hungarian riding
act, Brent gives us his impressions of CHIO Aachen.
"Most of these riders are also very
fit! Hardly see less than excellent athletes--correct position..they
supple the horses a lot, they emphasize obedience to the aids, whether
saying Go or Stop. Nearly everyone has a ground person. But, of course
-- this is the best of the best -- it is Aachen, so one would expect a
lot of this."

7/24 Grand
Prix notes - part 2
Eric Lette, FEI head judge, Sweden, so liked Fabenfroh's
performance that he gave him 400 - 80%.
-
7/22 Grand
Prix notes - part 1
We almost became used to perfection from the German first team
and expected to see only 8s and 9s with an occasional 10 despite the
sometimes pouring down rain.

7/24 Interview
with Linda Zang, FEI "O" Judge, USA
Linda Zang, FEI "O" Judge, gave us her impressions of the two
US riders competing at CHIO Aachen.
"It was very interesting to see
Lisa Wilcox compete at Aachen as it was the first time I saw the
combination competing. With a score of 66.7% its obvious she’d be
ranking as one of the top riders for the US after the two competitions
that our top five riders participated in Europe."
