Grand Prix Kur (Freestyles)

My Fair Lady with Hubertus Schmidt started with a passage circle at A with a trans to piaffe. Then a ten meter circle in passage to extended trot. Nice use of the entire arena, interesting choreography. A half pass zig zag on the long side was followed with extended canter with an immediate transition to canter pirouette at A (this seemed to be a new popular freestyle movement for this year as it was used in several rides). A very nice ride.
Lars Petersen and Blue Hors Cavan passaged and piaffed in time to Baby Elephant walk - a good match of music to horse's bpm. A double canter pirouette led to a transition to two tempis on a circle. Since I watched the freestyles on the television, the music was muted by the station so their announcer could commentate during the tests. The muted music seemed much less dramatic and more like background music than those who watched live from the stands.
Beatriz Ferrer Salat on Vital Robert Beauvalais had very dramatic music including lots of harps that matched their dramatic freestyle. Choreography included extended trot on a circle to trot half pass and the extended canter to canter pirouette. The second extended canter to pirouette missed but was followed by tempis on a half circle to a short diagonal.
Ulla Salzgeber and Rusty's dramatic extended trot to passage to piaffe to passage half pass. This pair was in top form, "Wunderbar". Perfect canter pirouette music. Music was classical with choir. Extended trot was awesome. This ride was in pouring down rain and the final halt was a split second ahead of the music. 80.61%
Fabenfroh with Nadine Capellmann also had pouring down rain for their entire freestyle but they didn't even seem to notice. Fabenfroh is absolutely perfect in his passage / piaffe and transitions. The music written especially for them and performed by an orchestra had a good beat with clapping and castinettes. Dramatic music matched the expressive, ground covering extended trot perfectly. Extended walk to canter half pass back to extended walk with smooth as silk transitions. This horse can instantly and smoothly go from highly collected to highly extended.
Chacomo and Alexandra Simons de Ridder was so elegant, I just watched and didn't get many comments. The pouring down rain didn't seem to faze them at all. Music was Neil Diamond including Stargazer. The crowd appreciated music they knew and could even sing along.
Gigolo was the final ride and absolutely perfect including the final one handed down centerline to halt. Gigolo's Symphony was, of course, as perfect as their execution. This is a ride to just watch and enjoy.
